So dear readers I have a quandry.
Today I began photographing the jewelry section of the new RGB collection for Stylesmith. Now I'm an avid photographer, but I do fashion photography and I have the hardest time photographing still life, or product photography.
With the RGB collection the vast majority of it is one of a kind items (due to the hand dyed and natural elements) so photographing the items on a model is neither time nor cost effective.
So... I'm now at a point where I'm torn between the first set up (the pink) or the second set up (the chalkboard) or maybe mixing the two a la the third grouping...
Dear readers: HELP!

Jewelry is tough to photograph. I like the 2nd set.
the second set shows off the colors in that necklace better than the first because the black of the chalkboard doesn't compete with the piece like the pink is doing.
the chalkboard allows the piece to speak for itself, and doesn't overpower.
The pink looks wonderful - really pops - but I strongly prefer the chalkboard. It not only shows the piece beautifully, but it brings wonderful character to the shot that would help ingratiate the product to buyers' imaginations.
Agree with tattytiara's very articulate comment - the pink does look great (I love pink anyway) but the chalkboard does seem to show them of to best effect!
Ooh, I'd include pics from both backgrounds in your shop!
I vote for chalkboard. Personally, I hate pink so I would not click on those. The chalkboard is neutral but different.
